First off, let’s just talk about how beautiful Michigan is. Most people from out of state think of Detroit when they hear Michigan (which is making quite the comeback). What they don’t realize is all the beauty it holds. Fun Fact: Stand anywhere is Michigan, and you’re within 85 miles of a Great Lake. It also has more shoreline than any state other than Alaska…take that East and West Coast states! Head north and you’ll get the rolling hills, head farther north into the U.P. and the hills look like mountains. Beaches look like you’re in California, Vineyards all along the West side of the state. Beer lovers land with all the breweries. You’ll just have to check it out yourself!
Anyways, for this elopement style shoot the couple, Rachel & Logan, showed up on his vintage 1979 motorcycle. Instantly a rad couple. First stop was Nature Michigan Retreat (Michigan Glamping). Very cool wedding venue if you’re looking to get married up north. She wore a gorgeous dress from Ox & Opal in Detroit and the fringe sleeves were everything. Took pictures in the tent, obviously of them riding the motorcycle, then headed to Sleeping Bear Dunes which if you’re not from Michigan (or if you are) a must-see. The views are breathtaking and you feel like you’re staring out into the ocean, not a lake. The sand is nice and soft but the flies bites are not so wear bug spray. Rachel and Logan have such a true, innocent love for one another and were real troopers with over a dozen photographers directing them all over the place for 3 hours.
