Last Friday I got to hang out with one of my favorite couples for our third annual couples shoot. Lindsay & Kevin are one of the sweetest couples i've ever met and I always have so much fun with them during our sessions. Lindsay had initially set up the session but then I received an email from Kevin which took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. [Side note: the've been together for almost 7 years and the past 3 years that i've known them i've been secretly hoping for an engagement.] When I received the email from Kevin my hopes were high and I thought 'he's going to propose' but he started it off by saying him and Lindsay decided on a location (hopes dropped), then Lindsay wanted him to ask me something so that was the next part (hopes crushed) and closed the email with "Now the part Lindsay DOESN't know..." YES!!! Next time, lead with that Kevin ;-)
They decided they wanted to do the shoot at his parent's house (so his/her parents could be there for it, which she did not know). He hid the ring box behind his belt buckle so he had to keep it from falling out and I had to pose them in ways she wouldn't see or feel it. I had their backs to the driveway so she didn't see her parents pull in and then he popped the question and all the happy tears! I was literally shaking I was so nervous and excited for them. He set up a little party and had family and friends show up after for a little engagement party and she had zero idea. *insert all the heart eyes* I'm so glad that I was able to be a part of this special moment and capture it for them. That is exactly why I love my job! Capturing those moments you want to last forever.
